As Pulsecon rolls out today Sept 30th we got a long series of announcements, starting for Legacy Year 2 which will be known as “Evolutions” with a blue and green colour for the box arts, we got the key art for the year of both, product announced and unannounced today. In terms of the product, we got we have:
Along with these reveals we got further details on the gimmick for the line known as “Evo-Fusion” which will be present on the box for all figures that are not package refreshes from the previous year, an evolution of the Energon weapons from Legacy, like Lio Convoy’s Lion Typhoon attack.
Interestingly there’s a combiner form composed of the core class Dinobots, noteworthy being that during the stream they mentioned it was composed of 6 (Six) Dinobots rather than the conventional 5, with the 5th being refered to as a “he” and with leaks of a character called “Skar” seems we might see the Dinobot Skar from IDW comics integrated to the team, no name was given to the combiner but very clearly has a designed based on the Power of the Primes/Generations selects Volcanicus combiner, seeing how he is composed of 6 Dinobots is also possible we might see a Dinoking combiner retool or repaint in the future, the combiner ports are also all 5mm to allow for more accessories or fossilizer parts added.
Another gimmick through the line will be that of the Junkions which will work on a Weaponizer-like system allowing them to be torn appart and then rebuilt into a series of weapons and other configurations and seemingly possibly a combiner akin to that of the Fossilizer combiner from Kingdom, but that wasn’t explored in time, so far we’ve only seen Scraphook who seems to bear a striking resemblance to the upcoming Rise of the Beasts movie Battletrap, but the artwork features other Junkions like a bike with a side cart.
As far as the key art is concerned it also features a suspiciously undiscussed Armada Optimus Prime leading many to believe he is going to be this year’s commander class, along with the Nemesis Decepticon Star ship which might be the Titan, perfect to pair with Kingdom’s The Ark Titan.
Most of these will be available most retailers including Hasbro Pulse today Sept 30th at 05:00 p.m. ET for Premium members and 06:00 p.m. everyone else.
