By the end of February, the Ministry of Ecological Transformation (MITE) will have to develop an implementation measure to provide up to 100% qualified cost zero interest loans for the development of energy communities in small cities. The goal is to build a renewable energy production plant combined with an energy storage system. This Mite rule must also indicate the accumulation conditions of the tariff incentives that have been provided.

This brings us to the core of the investment. The priority beneficiaries of this investment are public administrations, households and micro-enterprises in cities with a population of less than 5,000 people. The goal is to install approximately 2000 MW of new power generation capacity in a distributed configuration by the community and self-consumers. According to government estimates, the implementation of funded interventions will generate about 2,500 GWh per year, which will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and is estimated to be about 1.5 million tons of carbon dioxide per year.
