The fire in Wanlong Substation was extinguished at 10:26 am after the voltage transformer set at 9:42 am failed, causing multiple secondary substations to fail.
Taipower stated that some residents in Taipei's Wenshan District, New Taipei City Yonghe District, Zhonghe District, and Banqiao District had power outages as a result.
