Officials said the driver was hospitalized after Haddam hit a telephone pole

At around 11:10 am on Monday, November 29, 2021, a section of Sea Mountain Road in Haddam, Connecticut was closed after a driver hit a telephone pole.

Haddam-According to officials from Haddam Volunteer Firefighting Company, a driver was taken to the hospital after hitting a telephone pole on Monday morning.

After the crash occurred at about 11:10 in the morning, a section of Haishan Road was closed

Officials said a driver driving north hit a telephone pole, causing the pole to break and fall across the road. The fire brigade responded to the 90 Hayden Hill Road area.

A mineral oil leak occurred in the transformer of the utility pole, prompting the fire department to issue an alarm to the Ministry of Energy and Environmental Protection in response.

Officials said the driver was injured and was taken to Hartford Hospital.
