Hi-Rez Studios' Smite was originally considered a free MOBA game in which the gods fight each other, but the recent Battle Pass crossover game raised questions about this. Now the developer has revealed that Hasbro’s Transformers will join the battle next month, because after Stranger Things, obviously everything is a god.

As revealed in the movie trailer below, the Smite x Transformers Battle Pass will be released on November 16. Previous Battle Pass crossovers include the aforementioned Stranger Things, Rooster Teeth's RWBY, Nickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. So yes, Optimus Prime will be able to fight Raphael, Ang and Eleven next month.

Technically, these are skins rather than brand new Smite characters, so Megatron is Ra's skin, Optimus Prime is Geb, Starscream is Jingwei. Nevertheless, they play exactly the same way as Transformers, with the ability to transform and drive or fly on the battlefield-don't worry, Megatron has become a tank instead of his useless gun. There are also two types of skins: modern and cel-shaded like the original cartoon.

The full trailer can be seen below, and this may be the first time the original Transformers theme song has been used in a game trailer. This Wednesday will learn more about the crossover of Smite x Transformers and how Optimus Prime, Megatron and Starscream will play a role in the game. Maybe even explain why there is only one Autobot and why they missed the Hornet.

The last notable Transformer game is the 2015 cel-shaded action game Transformers: Destruction, which has now been delisted along with the classic Cybertron game-although there was another crossover with World of Warships last year.
