HARWICH PORT-At around 7pm on Thursday evening, a transformer on a utility pole opposite the Villa Roma restaurant caught fire. After a power outage nearby, the Italian restaurant was forced to close for dinner. Harwich police closed Highway 28 between Brooks Road and Lothrop Road for 30 minutes, until Harwich Fire and Eversource staff stabilized the situation. There were no reports of injuries.
